So far, the Irish....
Roma (Rome),
Italy

This morning, I had a bit of miscommunication with my Italian family about transportation. All is cleared up and I am looking forward to my last two days with them. This afternoon, I went into Rome to have dinner with Becky and her mom. We had dinner at That’s Amore in a quaint little neighborhood. I decided that after a rough morning, it would be best to have Tiramisu and a caffe Americano for dinner. Sometimes, it’s just best to eat dessert for dinner. We shopped for a bit before I discovered that all public transportation workers were going on strike starting tonight at 9 p.m. That means all metros, trains, and buses would stop from 9 p.m. tonight to 5 p.m. tomorrow. I literally had to run to catch the last train to the town I am living in. These workers really should’ve consulted me first when deciding to strike. It’s a good thing I can run fast. I struck up a conversation with a cool Italian guy who was on the same train home. He noticed I was reading a book in English and he spoke some English. Italian men are just so damn charming. I am glad I have one to return home to. Tomorrow, I plan to sleep in, read, rest, and write. Chow.
