Venice was my favorite city http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venice. ; We arrived in Venice and toured the Grande Canal, Siazza San Marco, Basilica di San Marco, Campanile, Palazzo Ducale, Ponte dei Sospiri, torre dell’Orologio, the Ponte di Rialto, I Frari, and took a ferry to Murano Island http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murano. ; We watched a glass blowing demonstration and toured the show room.  At this point, we were starving so we stopped at Osteria al Duomo  http://www.osterialduomo.it/home.htm for some pizza.  I tried pizza Genovese and loved it.  I don’t know if there is a pizza here that I don’t like.  We walked around Murano for an hour and took a ferry back to Venice.  Before leaving Venice, we had some pistachio gelato.  Venice is beautiful and romantic.  I loved being on the water and seeing the gondolas and boats pass through.  We arrived back to Chiara’s parents home, where they were cooking a feast.  I enjoyed spaghetti, chicken, zucchini, potatoes, bread, fruit, ice cream cake, and wine – all of which were homemade.  Chiara’s parents, sister, brother, brother’s girlfriend, and boyfriend all joined us for dinner.  We had so many laughs at the dinner table because I had my Italian dictionary and Chiara’s boyfriend had his English dictionary.  We were all trying so hard to communicate but we were getting so many things mixed up that we were lost in translation.  It’s so nice to be here in Rovigo with Chiara and her family.  They truly are wonderful.
